Labour's 2017 election manifesto reaffirmed its pledge for a unified National Education Service for England, providing a cradle-to-grave learning system incorporating all forms of education. How could this revolutionary approach be used to equip young people and the UK for the green transformation?
From climate change education to skills for green jobs, this roundtable will discuss the opportunities that an integrated national education system could offer for environmental education.
Key questions include:
- How can we equip young people with the skills needed to succeed in a clean-energy era?
- How can education policy best complement Labour's ambitious low-carbon industrial strategy?
- How can Labour ensure that sustainability is integrated through all levels of education?
- September 25, 2017 at 10:30am – 11:30am
