Join SERA and Labour Business for an online green recovery event

This event will be chaired by Lisa Trickett, Birmingham Councillor, Chair of the West Midlands CA Scrutiny Committee and SERA Executive Member. The event will examine how we deliver a comprehensive green recovery. With Liam Byrne we will look at the importance of an at scale regional programme including retrofitting homes, green housebuilding, green skills, and the West Midlands Green New Deal to set the path to make the region the green heart of England. Ed Miliband will talk on how we achieve the most ambitious green recovery and the consultation he has launched on what steps are needed.

The dialogue will look at how we build back better and achieve a green recovery, reducing carbon emissions and secure environmental security and resilience, and with the biggest coalition for action. The event is on the eve of the climate lobby of Parliament calling for a green recovery. The event will also feed into Ed Miliband’s green recovery consultation as well as the Labour Party’s wider National Policy Forum consultation programme.
